Bringing The Outside In

Beaded curtain in home office doorway

Florida’s tropical scenery has inspired this home’s aesthetic. It’s lush, grounded, and earthy. The entryway’s 24″ x 48″ oversized tile brings that outdoor energy directly through the front door, and meets you at the top of the stairway. To balance the boldness of the tile, a custom beaded curtain frames the doorway to the home office. Earthy and boho with a touch of glam.

How To Make A Beaded Curtain

  1. Tie the string around the curtain ring tightly.
  2. Measure and cut the string. (6 ft is standard.)
  3. Thread the string into a curved beading needle.
  4. Insert the needle into a bead.
  5. Double thread the bead to secure it.
  6. Thread the next 5 beads.
  7. Double thread every sixth bead.
  8. Repeat to your desired length.
  9. Hang from a curtain rod.
